I paid 0+ for mine at a mall a couple of years ago and have no regrets. I use the countdown timer several times a day (tea timer) with no problem; plenty loud for me. One feature that I’m surprised they don’t brag about more is the synchronization between digital and analogue. I reset the digital time every week or two (never off by more than a second or two) and the minute hand stays in perfect synch automatically. The overall look is analogue, which important to me, because that’s how I perceive time. The digital gadgets are available when I want them (often), but are otherwise hidden from view–very nice. My only gripe is minor: in the late afternoon (okay, twice a day) the hands interfere with viewing the digital numbers.
