Womens Garmin FR60 LTD Monitors Best Review

Like this product a lot. No GPS. But, great for running and biking. The LTD comes with the foot pod, upgraded chest strap and wireless attachment for downloading to the computer. This is my first Garmin HRM. Was on Polar (F55 most recent) but, switched to see if the ANT+ system would get rid of the static interference problems in the winter (Synthetics, and chest hair interfere with HRM signal) No such luck out of the box. But, can use Buh-Bump on the Garmin electrodes and that resolved the problem. The Polar soft strap has a net material for the electrode and I’ve been afraid to use anything other than water on them. Also have had a lot of problems with the Polar chest straps (both solid and soft straps) slipping down off my chest. So far the Garmin soft strap stays right in place.
Initial set up of the watch is easy. Sometimes connection to the foot pod takes a second try before you can start out on a run. But once the signal is indicated it stays. The buttons are easier to use than the Polar setup especially when under way. There is no way to lock the buttons like on the Polar. But, have not had a problem. Sometimes the Polar would stop the session if I bent my wrist and hit a button. Lots of choice on the screen types which are easy to switch between. The foot pod will measure distance with pretty good precision if you keep your pace constant. Change your pace on the same route and the distance will change. I don’t see it as a big problem. Over the same route you can look at overall time. Having the pace reading as you run is great. I could never feel what pace I was at and often started out to fast only to crash and burn. Also use the step per minute screen to play with Galloway’s cadence drills.
Have not used the Garmin on line down load. But am using the Garmin Training Center on my Mac. Have found the download to the ANT+ USB antenna to be a little quirky. But, the software is great. Can see plots of HR with pace vs time or distance. Some of the data collected in the down load is hard to find looking at the data on the watch. It would be better if you could convert it to a spreadsheet format for more analysis. But, it only takes a couple of minutes to manually move the data to a spreadsheet.
Just purchased the GSC 10 bike cadence and speed attachment. So far it seems to measure speed and cadence. Haven’t actually down loaded any data yet to see what is there. A little surprised that you have to set up the bike info separately from the running info. Looking forward to seeing how this part works for me.
Would definitely buy this product again. So far it is much more satisfying than my Polar experiences.

I received my Garmin 110 yesterday and I’m absolutely thrilled with it so far. First of all it proved extremely easy to begin using to the point I rarely had to refer to the manual. You charge it, enter a few profile data, locate the satellites(much quicker than the 205 I owned previously), push Start, and you’re on your way. True, it gives you limited data, but for simple minded me, its all I really want to know, time, pace, distance. I know there are complaints about instant pace but I have never found the need for that, and found it to be terribly erratic and inaccurate anyway on my previous 205.
And once you’ve really seen the 110 up close and personal you realize what a different device it is in comparison to earlier Garmins. It may not be for everyone but for me I think this thing is really cool! It looks and wears like a watch and I’ve had it on all day at work and no one has made any comment about the size of it or really even noticed it. And its designed to function that way. I was quite surprised to find out that you cant actually turn this thing off! It keeps functioning as a watch once you leave satellite mode (which it will do automatically after a defined time period when not in use). Supposedly in watch mode the battery lasts about 3 wks compared to 8 hrs when tracking. And its extremely lightweight and rather stylish. And the time is extremely accurate as it is provided from the satellite mode. Did I say I really like this thing???
p.s. Its not totally true that you cant turn it off(holding down the Light button), but it takes an effort in case the unit jams.

Garmin Forerunner 405 Sport Watch with Heart Rate Monitor Kit – Black Best Review

Hi, before buying it I did read some of this reviews, some good other bad, as usual. I must say it is a good gadget in general; good size, good gps performance (when it is not cloudy), footpod and HRM work as good as other brands. I see two operational issues; one is to use the bezzel when you run and your hands are wet; but I think I can live with that, secondly, battery only lasts 8 hours when you have GPS ON, this might be a problem. Garmin webpage does have a lot of problems, but they are improving it also the training centre (a local application) is not very nice. I think Garmin will do the improvements soon, hopefully. By the way, you can change the battery of the footpod, that is good for garmin, other brands (like Nike) make you buy a new footpod when its battery is off.
Also, you can select many fields to see in the screen when you run, and even I am not a pro-user yet, I believe it can help a lot for training, like virtual partner option.

I really like the Forerunner 50. It was fairly simple to set up and the foot pod was close enough for me with it’s accuracy. You can always set adjust it. You do need to wet the heartrate monitor a little before starting your workout or it won’t work until you have a good sweat going. The USB stick works great, I like being able to see my heart rate fluctuations and my rate of speed on the treadmill. I do wish it would work with the eliptical though, I usually warm up there.
Anyway, for the price it’s a great product. I look forward to purchasing the bicycle pod and trying that out next. As for the battery running out, mine was delivered out. So if you have an issue, run down to your local CVS or Walgreens and get a 2-pack for $[...] Problem solved.

Forerunner 110 by Garmin Best Review

Well let put it like this, it looks better than my old sony 60″ I’ve had in the past. I am amazed at all the picture tuning you can do for a beast like this.Add the fact that it is 3D ready just waiting for the adapter to come out for it. When I play fight night round 4 it feels like I’m watching it on tv instead of playing the game. Also I suggest you get the matching stand to with it. All tho I didn’t buy mines from Amazon, bought it from Costco I came out on top I paid 1299 for tv and stand there is no way in hell you gonna find a deal like that, but really if you are into big screeners for your basement i really recommend you get one of these or the 82″er trust me if I had a few more thousands in my pocket i would jump for the 82″er. my only down side to this tv is the remote, its quite boring but my onkyo remote takes care of all that and there is no USB slot but not an big issue. To really appreciate the picture quality i suggest you sit down and play with the picture set up. You won’t be disappointed with this tv too bad I can’t hang this on a wall lmao, I normally don’t post reviews because everybody else does a good job of telling it you……

      Mitsubishi WD-52327 – 52″ rear projection TV ( DLP ) – widescreen – 720p – HDTV monitor Best Review

This TV is huge and has great picture quality, and watching it is the perfect way to end the day. It hooks up easily with my DVD player and my laptop, does exactly what it’s supposed to do, is intuitive to use, and has never caused me any trouble.
I read the other reviews complaining about workmanship, but my TV is almost 4 years old and has had zero problems (even bulb failures). That’s even more impressive since I shipped it 3,000 miles across the country when moving and am sure it was jostled.
Things to note: the TV looks best when the overhead lights are dim, and it takes 10-15 seconds to turn on (which seems slow). Also, the sound quality is not the best available. However, I still give the TV 5 stars because these problems are minor and addressable, because I have a separate sound system, and because overall the TV has exceeded my expectations and was a great value for the price I paid.
One last point: Visitors are extremely impressed with this TV, because it looks sexy and expensive. If you a modest person, this TV could come across as more ostentatious than its smaller cousins. However, if you like the attention, the style points, and a fantastic viewing experience, this TV is for you.
