After 30 years of use, my old KitchenAid mixer meat grinder attachment was kaput. I tried to find replacement parts, but they did not exist. When I looked at the new version I was disappointed to find most of it is now plastic, and the cutting disc was so flimsy I was very sure it would not last. I have been grinding my own beef, veal and pork from grocery store meat for a long time — never anything with bones. This is built like my old grinder, with the advantage of a larger hopper and cutting discs, a third disc (KA only had/has 2), sausage making attachment, and the reverse switch. I have never made sausage but now will try that option. My first use turned 8 pounds of roast into burger-ready meat in less than 5 minutes. It took longer to set up and clean/store! I am not wild about the plastic “pusher” so kept my wooden one from the old KA unit. But I’m sure the plastic one would work so certainly wouldn’t consider that a negative. Took the advice of another reviewer and washed and dried the disc and blade quickly (put in low oven to dry), and stored in rice. Just checked and it is pristine.

As an RN working in home health and previously in ICU, I depend on an accurate pulse ox every day. I carried around a bulky wired 0 pulse ox for the first 2 years & was very disappointed in battery life and accuracy. This little pulse ox is awesome. It accurately measures COPD patients (compared to their Nonin pulse ox), has a prompt response time, & even gave an accurate reading on a Ca patient who had just come out of the hospital & had difficulty with getting the pulse ox to read the whole time he was in. A huge benefit is the prompt auto-off within seconds – great battery saver. I couldn’t be more pleased & I’m delighted with the 2 year warranty for any future issues!

Finger Pulse Oximeter MD300C13N Best Review

I got this right before entering the hospital. It stayed pretty much in check with all the RT and CNA oximeter checks. Sometimes the O2 would be 2% higher than the hospital ones. But for being I think its ok to use as a guide. I don’t know if it would work in a hospital setting or if you need it precise. This is a good one for your money, and very affordable…especially compared to other brands. Just don’t rely on it to be exact, unless you compare against higher rated ones (ie dr office) and it shows to be the same, then you can.
